Joe Dumars’ Fieldhouse Summer Camps offers summer day camp opportunities for kids to learn the basics of a variety of sports and, of equal importance, to learn how to enjoy the sport they have elected to pursue. Our sports clinics emphasize fundamentals through drills. It is our belief that in all of the different athletic areas we teach, creating positive habits is critical to future success and enjoyment. All of our coaches have experience playing and teaching the sports classes they lead. At the same time, coaches are also hired based upon their ability to make the experience fun as well as educational. The Fieldhouse offers three types of summer camp programs:

The Fieldhouse provides weeklong ½ day and full day summer day camp programs. Parents can also elect pre-camp and after-camp programs that allow their children to be challenged during periods where Mom or Dad can’t be there.

For what age groups are Joey D’s Summer Adventure Camps?

Fieldhouse Adventure Camps, Fieldhouse Adventure Fieldtrips and Fieldhouse Adventure Sports Camps are primarily for children ages 7-14 (with some exceptions detailed in the specific camp descriptions including room for 15-17 year olds in the celebrity and specialty basketball and volleyball camps). Fieldhouse Pee Wee Adventure Camps are for children 4-6 years old and our Fieldhouse Lil’ Kickers soccer based child development program is designed specifically for children 18 months to 4 years of age.

What kind of experiences are offered at Joey D’s Summer Adventure Camps?

The Fieldhouse Adventure offers a series of traditional and celebrity sports camps along with a wide variety of completely innovative non-sports programs designed to challenge your children mentally as well as physically. It is our goal to create a range of offerings that allow parents to mix and match experiences that will keep their children focused and excited over the course of the entire summer.

What options do I have if I need to drop off my child before camp starts or pick him/her up after camp ends?

Before and After Camps are available from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and from 12:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at a cost of $6 per hour. Advanced enrollment is not required for Before and After Camps, but it is recommended. Parents will be charged for time spent at the end of the week (hours are broken into 15 minute increments).

There are four basic types of Fieldhouse Adventure camps in terms of daily schedule; (i) half day camps that run from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Fieldhouse, (ii) full day camps that run from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Fieldhouse, (iii) Fieldhouse Adventure Baseball that vary in times, duration and locations and (iv) Fieldhouse Lil' Kickers Camps that are for 50 minutes in the morning, Monday through Thursday at the Fieldhouse.
