This camp will re-introduce campers to a series of classic American backyard games such as Kick the Can, Frisbee Golf, Four Square, Dodgeball and Capture the Flag. We will also explore famous games from around the world including Ga Ga (a type of dodge ball game played in a box from Israel), Queimada (a Brazilian game of tag) and Sam Pal Sun (a game of strategy from Korea). By the end of the camp you will be the most qualified sitter in your neighborhood, fully equipped with your own Safe Sitter babysitting kit!!!

Y.W.I.T. ("Young Women in Training")

The aim of this camp is to give young women the tools necessary to work through the tough situations and decisions that they are sure to face in the coming years. In this camp we build self esteem and improve body image by stressing proper nutrition, importance of physical fitness and competitive spirit along with a discussion of social and media pressures on female self-image. We will create friendships by learning good decision making, proper etiquette and role play. With all of that in mind, we still have some traditional feminine fun including the creation of the Fieldhouse Spa for the enjoyment of our young lady campers and their female role model counselors.

Y.M.I.T. ("Young Men in Training")

Sometimes being a boy is exactly what the situation calls for and we will explore a variety of ways for boys to be boys in this fun and educational camp. At the same time, its never too early for our young men to focus on the skills that they will need to be leaders in the competitive world of tomorrow. In this camp we learn (among many other things) how to make rockets out of Mentos and Diet Coke, how to change the oil in your sister’s car and how to drive a Golf-Kart (don’t worry, the Karts are speed governed). We will also have a chance to discuss such issues as leadership, self-discipline and focus…tools all young men need to face the challenges ahead.

This Ol' Fieldhouse: Build It and They Will Come

Call it what you will, this camp will teach basic woodworking techniques and the safe use of tools while campers work on a series of fun projects. All participants will return home with a solidly constructed and decorated Bat House along with a few other creations of their own design. Incredible & Edible, But is it ART?

This tasty camp will have participants building beautiful picture frames out of Jolly Ranchers and houses out of gingerbread! Other projects will include fruit bouquets (a healthier alternative) and huge cookie designs that would make Picasso drool!

Lets get the facts on the table!! This exciting camp will explore… through scientific experiments…the reality behind all of those urban legends. Can a human voice shatter glass? How can you really find a needle in a haystack? How many balloons would it take to lift a human being off the ground? Does the combination of Mentos and Diet Coke really create an explosion capable of shooting a bottle 50 feet in the air? Everyday campers will make a final assessment…once and for all…fact or fiction.

Restaurant 101

This class explores restaurant operations with local culinary instructor. Campers will tackle all facets of running a restaurant including Safety and Sanitation; Food Preparation and Cooking; Menu Design and the keys to great service. Young cooks will create and take with them home-made pasta, pizza, soft pretzels and other treats. This hands on camp is a great way for kids to gain confidence in the kitchen.

Fieldhouse Adventure Camp

Parents, help your children recognize their full potential in our Fieldhouse Adventure Camp. Under the guidance of our professionally trained staff, campers will be led through a series of increasingly difficult personal and team challenges designed to instill selfconfidence, encourage team skill development, and most of all, have fun! In addition to use of our sports facilities, campers will challenge themselves on our 30 foot climbing wall and 8 unique challenges on our high ropes course.

Campers in this program will design, build, decorate and launch their own model rocket. Our experienced instructors will assist the young rocketeers in the science and safety of rockets..working toward an end of the week launch that will not soon be forgotten.

Sweet Tooth...Fieldhouse Style

Gotta sweer tooth? Want to impress your friends with the fanciest cookies and cakes this side of the Food Channel? The little chefs who sign up for this fast paced camp will learn how to bake and decorate a series of pasteries. Noted pastry chef Pete Engelhardt will tutor participants in not only the techniques necessary to make the impressive cakes and desserts, but also how to safely prepare food for others.
